Ship Derusting Robots Serves Nearly 100 Super-large Ships

In October, 2019, Beijing TimeRiver Technology Co., Ltd (Robot++) received an order for 100 sets of the first ship derusting robots in China, and then it continued to produce robots stably. At present, dozens of ship derusting robots of Robot++ have been applied in many shipyards across the country on a large scale.

Currently，Robot++ derusting robot has provided machinery derusting services for five domestic super-large shipyards in Qingdao, Shanghai and Zhoushan. And Robot++ has completed the derusting operation of 96 super-large ships of 100,000 tons, mainly for Panamax ships and Capesize ships, ranking first in the world in terms of cumulative shipment and completion.

The leading core technology is the solid foundation for Robot++ Derusting Robot to "hit". Since its establishment, the Robot++ team has overcome many key technologies in the industry, applied for more than 200 intellectual property rights and laid out more than 100 invention patents.  Robot++ derusting robot, which integrates several key technologies, not only has super load-weight ratio and super adaptability to curved surface, but also can achieve the derusting operation level of Wa2.5. These capabilities enable Robot++ ship derusting robot to come and go freely on various complex space surfaces inside and outside the hull.

Traditional ship derusting operations require dozens of workers to carry out derusting operations by holding dry sandblasting guns or ultra-high pressure water guns on dozens of aerial work vehicles. The derusting efficiency of a single gun is 4-6m/h,with about one week for the whole operation cycle of the ship, and the single cost ranges from one hundred thousand yuan to several hundred thousand yuan. Hand-held high-pressure water gun will produce huge recoil force, so there is a huge potential safety hazard for people working at high altitude. At the same time, the working environment on site is harsh, with a lot of dust, heavy steam fog and loud noise, which will cause serious harm to human body.

Compared with the traditional derusting operation, Robot++ can carry out derusting operation only by remote control of workers, with derusting efficiency of 20-40m/h, which reduce comprehensive cost of 30%-60% and  achieve an investment return period of 1-3 years. Moreover, the robot can avoid the potential safety hazard existing in traditional aerial work, and personnel safety is fully guaranteed.

传统的船舶除锈作业，需要几十位现场工人，通过搭载数十台高空作业车，手持干喷砂枪或超高压水枪进行除锈作业。单人单枪的除锈效率为4-6m²/h，整船作业周期在一周左右，单次费用十几万元至几十万元不等。人工手持高压水枪会产生巨大反冲力，因此对高空作业的人员存在巨大的安全隐患。同时，现场工作环境恶劣，粉尘多、汽雾重、噪音大，会对人体产生严重伤害。

对比传统的除锈方式，史河科技的船舶除锈机器人只需要工作人员遥控操作即可进行除锈作业，除锈效率达20-40m²/h，综合成本降低30%-60%，投资回报期在1-3年区间，并且机器人可以避免传统高空作业存在的安全隐患，人员安全性得到充分保障。
