In order to adapt to the rapid development of smart shipping and explore a new mode of cultivating high-level and innovative shipping talents, E-PORTS held a signing and unveiling ceremony of a practice base for school-corporate cooperation with Shanghai Maritime University (SMU). The ceremony was attended by Huang Qizhou, founder and CEO of E-PORTS, Guan Yong, co-founder and executive vice president of E-PORTS, Li Zhipeng, director of the Student Affairs Department of SMU, Zhu Yaobin, president and secretary of the College of Foreign Languages, Zheng Hongxiang, deputy director of the Student Affairs Department, and Qian Minfang, deputy secretary of the College of Foreign Languages.

Adhering to the principles of “win-win, innovation and development”, the two sides established a long-term and close relationship in recruitment, internship, production-research cooperation, activity cooperation and other areas. This further deepens production-education integration, promotes connection of supply and demand, and establishes a multi-domain and deep-level long-term mechanism.

The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions over the cooperation model and specific activities. Li Zhipeng expressed admiration for the innovative shipping service model created by the E-PORTS platform, and attached great importance to this cooperation. Li said that the cooperation will not only provide a diversified internship environment for SMU’s students, providing strong support for the transformation and upgrade of traditional shipping in the new era and the cultivation of high-level, application-oriented talents, but also provide a talent pool for E-PORTS and deliver win-win benefits. Zhu Yaobin spoke highly of the cooperation and hoped that the two sides would jointly explore and develop the existing school-corporate cooperation model, provide a model for high-quality development in the shipping industry and promote a functional upgrade of the Shanghai International Shipping Center.

As a third-party B2B shipping service management platform, E-PORTS is taking the lead in transforming and upgrading traditional shipping service industry. E-PORTS has made significant breakthroughs at the forefront of the industry, firmly driving informatization, networking and smart technology, providing the industry with a digital-driven shipping service solution for ships during port calls, endeavoring to provide both online and offline world-class shipping services for ships worldwide, and promoting resource integration and information sharing in the entire shipping ecosystem. By changing the service supply chain from single connection to multi-level and all-round connection, traditional shipping companies can enjoy a borderless, barrier-free and recyclable data flow, promoting multi-dimensional integration of the entire industrial chain, covering shipowners, management companies, charterers, shippers, agents, port service providers and ports. E-PORTS is not only a pioneer in smart transformation of the domestic shipping industry, but also an active practitioner in the entire shipping ecosystem.

The authorization of E-PORTS as a “Shanghai Maritime University Practice Base” is not only an important measure to complement advantages and seek common development, but also a practical initiative for E-PORTS to practice sustainable development and promote the cultivation of innovative shipping talents. Through diversified school-corporate cooperation, E-PORTS will cultivate, train and deliver a large number of advanced talents with experience in informatization and smart technologies, thus laying a solid foundation for the construction of smart shipping.
