24,000 TEUs! The largest container ship in the world! "Ever Ace" of Evergreen made its maiden voyage in Yantian Port

At noon on August 11th, Evergreen Ever Ace, the largest container ship in the world, successfully berthed at No.16 berth of Yantian International Container Terminals. Yantian Port Area welcomed it with the highest courtesy "Watergate Ceremony".

The "Ever Ace" ship is 400 meters long and 62 meters wide, with a deck area of nearly four football fields, which is 63 meters longer than the largest aircraft carrier in the world. It can carry 23,992 TEUs, which can extend from Shenzhen to Guangzhou when connected one by one. This is the first of 10 new 24,000 TEUs VLCS built by EVA Shipping, and other sister ships will be delivered one after another.

The "Ever Ace" has set a new record for the largest container ship in Yantian Port. This time, the carrying capacity in Yantian Port exceeded 8,200 TEUs, which will set the highest operation record in its maiden voyage. In addition, after the operation in Yantian Port, the loading capacity of the "Ever Ace" ship is expected to reach 21,710 TEUs, which will set a new world record for the actual loading capacity of a single ship. Ever Ace serves Europe Express of Evergreen Shipping, which only calls in Yantian International Container Terminals in South China. After leaving Yantian Port, the "Ever Ace" will sail directly to Europe and is expected to arrive at Rotterdam Port in 23 days .
